Exchange studies in Choreography

Welcome to apply for an exchange semester at the Department of Dance!

Courses offered

The Department of Dance offers you to follow the curriculum of the spring semester of the first year of the Master's Programme in Choreography. Find more information about the structure and content of the programme here.

Courses for the spring semester 2023 include:

Choreography: Media and Agency Expanding the Choreographic (22.5 ECTS)
Methods in artistic research 2 (7.5 ECTS)

Total of ECTS: 30

Term dates: 16 January 2023 - 4 June 2023

Main language of instruction: English

Study pace: Fulltime

Application

The application period is 15 October to 15 November 2022. For information on how to be selected as an exchange student within the Erasmus+ programme, please contact the international coordinator at your home university. Applications are handled through the online application system EASY. To apply, click on the green "Apply"-button on the top right corner of this page.

The following documents will be required:

A certificate of Degree of Bachelor of Fine Arts or equivalent higher education qualification
Your latest Transcript of Records.
Certificate assuring that you are registered at a Higher Education Institution
Letter of recommendation from a dance tutor or teacher at your institution
Nomination letter from your institution
A work sample in the form of video clip. Use Mp4 (max 150 Mb)
A text elucidating your art practice where you address one or more of the following questions:
- a. What is your working understanding of ‘choreography'?
- b. Is there a ’field’ in which you would situate your work (discuss a few people, things or phenomena that you relate to in your artistic practice)?
- c. What do you think dance and/or choreography ‘does’ in the world?

Please note that we only accept applications and certificates through the online application portal and that we will not consider any applications from students sent by e-mail or regular post. When applying online, make sure to double check that you have chosen the correct home institution. Our partner universities should be registered in EASY. If you do not find your institution, please contact our Erasmus+ Coordinator or your International Coordinator. Your home institution will automatically receive a request to nominate you once you have submitted your application.
