Courses offered
SKH offers to follow the curriculum of the spring semester of the first year of the Bachelor's Programme in Circus. Find more information on the structure and content of the programme here.
Bachelor's Programme in Circus (semester 2)
Courses for the spring semester 2024 include:
- Circus Discipline 1b (15 ECTS)
- Circus Performance and Interpretation 1b (15 ECTS)

Application
The application period is 15 September to 15 October 2023.
Applications are handled through the online application system Mobility Online. To apply, click on the "Become an applicant"-button of this page.
Please note that we only accept applications and certificates through the online application portal and that we will not consider any applications from students sent by e-mail or regular post. When applying online, make sure to double check that you have chosen the correct home institution. Our partner universities should be registered in Mobility Online. If you do not find your institution, please contact our Erasmus+ Coordinator or your International Coordinator. Your home institution will automatically receive a request to nominate you once you have submitted your application.
Documents will be required at two stages in Mobility Online.
In the first part of your application you will be requested to to upload following general documents:
- CV - Europass format
- Proof of previous studies (transcript of records)
In the second part of your application, after beeing nominated by your home institution to SKH, you will be requested to upload following specific documents:
- Letter of recommendation from a circus tutor or teacher at your institution
- Letter of motivation
- Work samples - Videos
Instructions for the Letter of motivation
Answer the following questions (maximum one page):
- Why are you applying as for exchange studies in Circus at SKH?
- You apply with one circus discipline. Which discipline are you applying for? If you work with a duo/group discipline please include a second discipline of your own
- What are your goals with circus?
- What inspires you with circus art?
You can also write if you have any other interests that influence your work as a circus artist.
Instructions for the Work samples - Videos
You must upload three (3) films with your application. Maximum size for each film is 150 mb. Cell phone footage should be recorded in ‘Landscape’.
Video #1: CDT (Circus Discipline technique) max 3 minutes
- 30 - 60 seconds: a short presentation of yourself. If you work with a duo/group discipline, clearly explain how we can identify you on the video
- 2 - 2.30 minutes: clearly visible skills in primary discipline such as training sequences, strength and/or flexibility related to discipline, sequences from rehearsal or performance
Video #2: CA (Circus Act) max 5 minutes
- 3-5 minutes: A circus act in the circus discipline with which you are applying
- The act should be filmed without cuts. Make sure that we can see you clearly in the film
- If you work with a duo/group discipline, clearly explain how we can identify you on the video
Video #3: AI (Artistic and Individual aims and interests) max 4 minutes
- 2-4 minutes: additional skills and interests
- Examples: other circus skills, skills in other arts domains (dance, theatre, visual arts, music), interests and inspirations
