”Abstract narration” by Anders Bohman

“Abstract narration” is a research project by Anders Bohman, Assistant professor of Cinematography.

I want to develop the research into a associativ visual narrative based on an abstract approach of storytelling where the narrative is important and the story is out first.

The project will investigate how an abstract narrative can elevate the visual film language to a stronger experience.

Aim and research questions

The research will focus on how far an abstract storytelling can reach before it looses its narrative.

Research implementation and anticipated impact

The research will be preformed as an artistic practice. Trough documenting the work I will translucent the artistic process and show my result in a screening of the different versions of the material.

Through working in the cluster with Thomas, Mamdooh and Klas, we create a bigger picture and widen our discussions in our common topic, but with different approaches. The goal is to create an exposition that will give the audience a greater picture of Abstract Narration as an artistic reference.
